West Side VFD Will Be At Red Apple Days

West Side VFD firefighters and their families will be hosting a fund raising booth at Red Apple Days in Auburntown Friday and Saturday. The firefighters are challenging members of the community to release their inner firefighter by participating in an obstacle course. Prizes will be awarded to the best posted time in each category.

Other booth items will include cookbooks featuring traditional fare and for the more adventurous, exotic concoctions such as, Elephant Stew.

Sno-cones and iced tea will be available, served in a first edition souvenir cup.

The West Side VFD would like to encourage everyone to stop by, introduce yourself and enjoy a drink while meeting your local volunteer firefighters.

All proceeds will benefit the West Side VFD in obtaining updated safety equipment as well as contributing to the new fire truck fund.
