Woodland’s girls and West Side’s boys earned the top seeds for the Cannon County Grammar School Tournament, which began Monday at CCHS.
Woodbury Grammar girls earned the No. 2 seed. The top two seeds earn byes into the semifinals. (3) Auburn girls faced (6) East Side Monday. The winner faces Woodbury Thursday at 4 p.m. at CCHS. (4) West Side played (5) Short Mountain Monday. The winner faces Woodland Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The girls championshp is Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Woodland’s boys were the No. 2 seed and earned a bye, along with West Side. (3) Auburn faced (6) East Side Monday. The winner faces Woodland Thursday at 5:15 p.m. (4) Woodbury Grammar boys played (5) Short Mountain Monday. The winner has the dubious task of playing West Side in the semis Thursday at 7:45 p.m.
The boys championship is Saturday at 7:45 p.m. The girls consolation is 4 p.m. The boys consolation is 5:15 p.m. All games are at CCHS.
